I know this may be stupid, but i'll never know if i don't ask. What exactly defines a 1/2, 3/4, or 1 ton. Does it have to do with payload capacity? And what axles correspond to each?
    Thanks

1/2 tons are usually corprate axles i.e. 10 and 12 bolt 3/4 ton gets into dana 44's I think 1 ton is dana 60's and 70's.
