We scrapped a wrecked 79 burb with the big rear tank, and I cut that section of the frame out with the crossmembers and straps hoping to put the tank into my shortbed frame... Ive heard of this on longbed trucks but it looks like I Just dont have the real estate for that big tank on the shorter frame. It should would be awesome to have three tanks. I wont be running a spare down there anyways..

    thoughts? ideas?

I have a LWB picjup and plan on putting a K5 tank up front behind the cab between the frame rails. I think with a few crossmembers and a few strraps it should work well. I dont think you could jam it between the rear ones though. I havent really got under mine and looked, so I may be a bit off. Anyway, good luck.

Mike AGM73K5 put a 40 gallon tank out of a burb in his 73.
Ya might PM him to see what he did to make it work.

I remember someone with a shortbed and Blazer/Sub tank, but I don't know who it was. I do know they had taken off the bed and it was sticking up above the frame rails instead of down. Whoever it was posted pics to CK5 or ORC, it's been a long time and I don't remember anything else about it.
