    I am looking to buy a used compact pickup for dialy driving duty. Please give me your .02. I'm thinking Toyota or GM, maybe Dodge. Let's hear it...

    ford ranger.... you can get a brand new 4cyl/manual ranger for $10,000. A late 90s/early oughties one oughta be dirt cheap. Never had a problem with mine... even after my dad used it as a DD (60 mi commute every day). I hauled my ff14b and D60 in the back of it from Newport to Vancouver. Not bad. :)

    ps: '06 ranger gets 29mpg too...

    Nissan Frontier. I'm sorry, but that new 6 cylinder they're using is AMAZING. It's based off the 350Z motor, but has a longer stroke, plus it's cheaper than a Yota.

    I've noticed the toy's seem to keep their value more than other makes. After a brief search yesterday, I couldn't find a 2000+ for under 10k no matter how many miles. I need to check the local paper for better deals.
