anyone order anything from summit? I am about to order a new carb for my 84 k-5 w/305. Will the carter AFB 625cfm with GM linkage fit? I will be running this carb just for a while, while i learn how to rebuild the Q-jet. Also with carb replacement, is there anything else that needs to be purchased. I will be ordering everything tonite. Thank you for your help.

really cant answer your carb questions, but i love summit. they are usually fast at shipping. another good one is jeg's. sometimes they are slightly different in prices, but not much. good luck.

    Summit is a good company.

If your buying a new carb just to rebuild your old one, save your cash!! I just rebuilt my Q-jet today. First time I've ever done it. Took longer to clean it then it did to rebuild it. Got a rebuild kit from Carquest for $25 and picked up a Haines manual for Rochester carbs. The book is great, does a step by step teardown and you just put it back together with the new parts in the kit. Trust me you can do it in less than a day!! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
