sun roof?

    does anybody have this? and who makes a good one. i want to take the back off next year but it seems like only the people in the back would enjoy it. and yes i know i can trade it for a full convertable but no

    Thinking about doing the same. Have the same probelem like you. Where to get one.

    around here lots of shops will do them...anyplace that usually does window tinting also does sunroofs...well not always but its a common trend here...any of those guys will do it...its about as easy as doing it to a car...thought about it myself...got priced $135 for a small one and $235? for the biggest one they had

    You didn't ask if people thought it was a good idea, but I'm just going to drop my $.02 and say don't do it. Even if done really well, its NEVER a good idea to cut holes in the body. I'll leave my opinions at that, but if you take the top off, you will enjoy it too : )

    I'll throw my 2 cents in and say don't, too. Last time I was out wheeling, I hopped out to take a few pictures and saw ripples in my roof from the body flexing. I think a piece of glass up there would have shattered...

    Hmmm... Bodylift causing more body flex... I don't know. Never heard of that before. But it doesn't apply in the photo since the roof in the photo is a friend's K5 without a bodylift. Incidentally, his '77-79 (one of those years...) had more roof ripple than my '87 with the broken front bodymount. Here's a pic:
