Left the house this morning and headed for Lake City. From there went to Engineer Pass (12,800ft). Played in the snow with the dog, explored old gold mines, played with the dog in the river, explored some more old mines. The wife and I found what we think is gold (not much) but cool anyway. Took us 2 hours to go 18 miles. Fun trip, but next time it will be early summer, so we don't get snowed on.

Sounds really fun. One day I want to go some place near by and explore the old mines around here. I think it'd be real neat.

Is there anyway that you might be able to build a big a$$ damn fan and blow some of that cold air down here?

Oh and sounds like you had a pretty fun day. Lot better than ours. Spent a goodly portion of the day sweating.

Doing stuff like that is so much fun. I love exploring old mines and ghost towns. Can't really do that kind of stuff anymore, ohwell, it's still fun hearing about it.

I thought about getting hold of you. Didn't figure you would want to drive all the way out here. Easy run for a stock rig though. I took the Cherokee cause the Blazer is still topless, and it was chilly this morning. I f you are interested, we can hit it again before it is snowed in.
