    super swamper SSR\'s

Can anyone give me the low down on the SSR's ? On and off road abilities. My truck see's the mud maybe 5% of the time and the rest of the time its a daily drive back and forth to work. My main concern is how it drives in the rain since my kids have to ride in it from time to time. The wife has declared my truck to be "unsafe", I think I rather go over then under. Thanks.

Well talk to BlazininOr he was 35" ssr's on his 79. We actually parked side by side and took shots of our 79's together. I run bias ply. Comparing the two the SSR's are siped already, they have this cool finger like side tread pattern that does a good job of grabbing in a bog and the tread pattern is pretty aggressive. Looks like a good tire

I ran 33 SSR's on my 84K5 which is a daily driver. Never had a problem in the rain. I would have bought another set,but decided to go with Radial TSL's cause they were alot cheaper.

I run 33 ssr on my blazer And I did a lot of mudd bogging with them.I drove on the street alot with them. I think they are a good tire good self cleaning and a smoth ride on the highway.
I always ran 28 psi in all 4 tires and never had a problem. they have good traction on the wet pavement to. good tire but I think they are priced alittle high.

I've heard that the TSL's don't do so well on the road, espicially in the rain. Is this true ? Any comparison good or bad between the SSR's and TSL's?

I got 33 inch SSR's they handle a lot better than I thought they would they are fairly quiet on the road and so far they stop just fine as far as off road they do pretty good in mud ,but they are pretty expensive.
