    hey there all,
i think my auto locking hubs up front are crapping out finally, occasional clicking/ticking sound followed by a front end clunk when i slow down, at first it was only doing it now and again but it seems to be doing it more lately especially after some muddin last weekend....
anyway i'm looking at prices on manual hubs, any input on superwinch hubs? i was thinking maybe warn too, i don't want junk that will die soon........replace/fix things right the first time and there is less to worry about.
thanks to everyone on this site, i'm an addict and wouldn't have stumbled into the great world of K5's without ya'll and all yer help!
    peace.

I ad a bad experience with Superwinch hubs on my Dodge Powr Wagon. It had a Dana 60 with external mount hubs. I thinck the hubs had a bad design because after about a year one of them self destructed on the highway in 2WD! and damaged the splines on my axle shaft!

Superwinch's Jeep Dana 30 hubs are good, but the 1/2& 3/4 ton ones suck. I borrowed one after grenading my hub, and grenaded it the same day. Warranteed it out, and grenaded it again.

When I had my Dana 44, I had real good luck with the old Selectros, the ones where the whole outer part turns. I never broke one. The only thing I didn't like about them was there were hard to unlock, they bound up bad, especially with the locker. The OE ones I run on the 60 have the same problem. The Warns are designed so this doesn't happen.
