    Tonsillectomy.
Poor kid... But he's excited. He got a new Webkin today after his pre-op, and he's convinced he'll get more and lots of awesome stuff tomorrow in recovery. :haha: :haha:

I'm probably stressing more about it. But I'm not really stressing, just worried about that .01% chance of a complication.

No worries Ratch. They will load him down with Ice Cream and Jello. I think they do about 21049823409812904871202934204 of these daily. Its just like getting your blood pressure checked.

Ha ha, I know, but I need something to be concerned about! I read about how routine it is in modern medicine and was thinking about getting mine taken out, too...

I bought him a 12 pack of Jello today.

Zen, a webkin is a stuffed animal, but it has an ID and you go on the web with it's ID to feed it, play with it, build it a house, etc. It's a brilliant idea that's making someone rich, and every kid I know is into it. They sit on the computer and have online battles... He's been bugging me to play "Dogbeard's Bathtub Battles" with him, which would mean I have to log in as someone else's webkin to play against him, but he asks me as I'm walking out the door.

I don't know if I would get them taken out just because, but yea its pretty routine.

If ya need something to worry about, then.... worry about having to sit in the hospital smell tomorrow?

I'm more worried about anesthesia, I have bizarre allergies, and he's got a few too. The odds are in his favor, though, so I'm not that owrried.

I'd get mine (tonsils and adnoids) removed if I could cause I get sick 2 or 3 times a year with the same thing in my throat, plus rumor is that I snore pretty bad...

I've heard it's worse on adults.

call RotoRooter for me so I can get some relief! :)

I can understand your concerns, Ratch, but your little guy will be fine. :thumb:

I am also well-versed on the whole Webkin thing. I feel your pain. I'm on the verge of buying the girls their own damn computer so they can take care of their Webkin without interrupting my computer time once every hour......:doah:

    :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:
Glad to hear I'm in good company. That's exactly what I did! We resurrected the "kids computer" idea with this whole webkins obsession. The family computer got upgraded, and the kids have the 3-4 year old Dell upstairs. It's funny to hear them yell to each other "What color are you on?"

is this a kid toy thing? I don't (and won't!) have any kids so I have no clue what kids are messing with these days.
