    swapin\' a 12 bolt for a 14

I was just wondering what was all involved in completing the swap? I understand the basic removal, but is there anything that needs to be changed or fabricated to install the 14?

    The 14 is comming off of a 70's 3/4 ton /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif, & going onto my 73' blaze /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

It's basically a bolt in. Make sure you keep the spring plates from the donor truck. Might need to get ahold of some new u-bolts. 14b has a larger tube. You'll need a conversion u-joint to hook up your 12b driveshaft....Napa part# 348. Is the truck it's coming out of 2wd or 4wd? If it's 2wd, you'll probably have to re-locate the shock mounts- They hang waaay lower on the 2wd's. If 4wd, then it's cake. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
