swapping tanks...Who\'s done it this way>

I am looking to get rid of the side tank on my 84 pickup so I can gain access to my frame for my rock sliders I am fabbing. I would like extra capacity anyway so I was thinking of getting a 31 gallon from a Blazer and putting it under the rear of the bed and having a fill spot inside the back bed corner. Making this work wont be a problem I was just curious if any of you guys had done this.
    Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

My 77 had just one 15 gal side tank, what a PIA /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Side tanks come in 15 and 20 gal, multiply that by two, and it equals thirty or better.

What you are planning doesn't sound bad, I guess it depends on where you need the clearance....

Here's the 31-gallon I put in my crewcab. My logger's box already had the filler in a good spot though /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Take some measurements and see if a Suburban tank will fit under there. Most of them hold 40 gallons. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I've done it.---> Tank pics It's 5' farther back now than what the pics show. My truck is a short box. The tank is 27 gallons.
