I have a 4" lift on my K5 with the factory sway bar. Have had it lifted about two years now. Just got to wondering, do I need to drop the front sway bar mounts on the frame? Thought of this when I noticed my dads lifted ranger has drop brackets for the sway bar.

Skyjacker and Superlift both make drop brackets for the sway bar. a 4" lift on most vehicles isnt necessarty until you goto 6" then you need a 2-3" drop kit. They are inexpensive to.

I got a quick swabar question also. I am removing mine and tossing it in the trash. So what size was the LARGE bolt on the spring plates. I do not have a socket that large and I need to go buy one. Mine is a 1979 k5. Thanks everyone.
