to disconnect the stock sway bar up front you need to remove the bolt's holding it onto the rear and the grommet's holding it to the frame under the rad support,,,if you mean to disc. it just for wheeling and then put it back on afterward's,,,you need to buy a disc. kit...one from ORD would work well [IMG]

The sway bar bolts to the U-bolt plates. All I did was unbolt it and bungee cord it up for wheelin'. Then I got lazy once and realized with the front springs I have the sway bar just wasn't necessary. I chucked it into the back yard and its been there 3 years now [IMG]
Eventually when I get softer front springs I'll get a disconnect kit and put it back on.

of you look at the axle,,where the spring's bolt up to it,,there should be a thick plate that hold's the spring onto the spring pad,,,the is a huge bolt going into the side of it,,attached to it is the sway bar,,,just unbolt it there,,the one in front of the axle is the tie rod,,,do not unbolt it,,[IMG] if there is nothing there then you don't have a sway bar on yur truck,,some did not come with them..

The long bar in front of the axle is the tie-rod, you definitely don't want to disconnect that........
The sway bar comes off of the U-bolt plate and heads forward and up. When it gets to the front cross member it is secured to the cross member with two bushings. Crawl underneath and have a good look at it.
