that is frickin cool, i am drooling, i drool over any cool 68, since 68 are my all time ultimate favorite GM trucks and always will be forever. anytime i hear the number 68 i immediately have 68 year/truck come to mind.
i associate numbers with almost everythign always

i want to know the model code on the truck if its sitll listed on it on the SPID label on glovebox lid, or if its still written across very top of firewall in paint stick from factory.

its not the first part of the VIN, although that would be cool, then could find out some of what it originally was.

vin would be like CE338J and model code would be close to something like CS31109

    3 door hmm...

it could be center part of a 67-72 burb or panel delivery because of rear third being on pass side just like burb and panel were in these years

but it might not be though, the cab could be an original aftermarket converted crew cab but with the one door welded shut.

hard to say without knowing actual model code
