switching steering columns..

    how hard is it to switch a steering column. i want the one form my blazer cuase its got tilt.

    a few bolts, and a couple wiring harness connectors and a bit of time is all it takes /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Make sure you get the actual ignition switch that bolts to the top of the column under the dash. Tilt vs. non tilt use different switches. They use the same connector but operate opposite of each other.

    You will have problems if both vehicles don't have the same features though...column mounted dimmer switch, column mounted wipers, and key in column warning buzzer, as the wiring changed.

    i think they are the same..the blazer is an 84 my truck is an 86

    '84 was at least a partial "changeover" year, so you might be right, everything might be the same, but make sure first.
