T-case mount replacement

    I bought the replacement Energy Suspension T-case mount and I'm not sure how it goes in. The link below is a picture of my old mount and the 2 new pieces. I have the new pieces aranged like I think they go. I don't understand what the purpose of the metal strip is.

    Sorry I don't have the answer to your question but what is the part # for that mount. I can't seem to find it. BTW, I think you just stack the metal strips and bolt it up.

    That looks like the new mount ES came out with for the '85 to '91 trucks using the "double-hump" crossmember.

    I have no clue what the metal strip on the bottom is for though.
