I have a np 208 that in 4hi and 4lo will pop out of gear under tork. What could cause this and is there any fix? A friend told me to just use a bungie cord to hold it in place.

i had the same problem....but with my body lift the hole in the floor wasnt big enough, and under tork the case would rotate, hit the floor panel and shift it outta loc. very odd, but something to keep in mind

had kind of same problem, only in 4hi prior owner had put in a POS t-case drop found that linkage was not adjust correctly. Don't know if you have a drop but check. does your gear indicators line up on your t-case shifter?

my indicator would not line up on 4hi or4lo case would only pop out of hi range. shifter felt like t-case was not fully lock in. maybe the sucker just worn out?
