I bought a lot of patch panels for my '71 from LMC, Chevy Duty, Cheyenne, and others. As it turned out, most of them had Tabco stickers on them. When looking for one piece that nobody carried, I talked one of the retail places into giving me the contact info for Tabco so that I could call them directly. It was a part that had been back ordered for months. As it turned out, they (Tabco) were waiting for enough of a back order to pile up to justify costs of new stamping dies. They were very cool on the phone, and explained that the quality of the pieces degraded over time as the stamping dies wore out, and that they just couldn't produce any more of the piece I wanted with any decent quality.

My take is that they are one of the (if not the) major manufacturers of aftermarket body panels. My guess is that if you purchase a panel made in the USA, it is probably made by Tabco. I might be wrong, but that was sure the impression that I got at the time. For all I know, they're stamped in China.

As far as the quality goes, I much prefered working with the Tabco panels. They seemed to be a better gauge metal, were well formed and were a good fit.

There's a guy that lives near me who restores old pickups and Blazers. He swears by Tabco. He showed me two pieces of sheet metal, one from a reputable truck store in our area, and one from Tabco. The Tabco metal was much thicker and more solid. He said he's been doing it for about 15 years and has never had a problem with rust and they are very durable panels. So my opinion of Tabco is positive. When I start working on my body, that's what I'll probably buy. I think it's also made in the U.S.A. too, which is more than I can say for LMC.
