Tachometer hook up question.

    For those that know the specifics, i just got a sun supper tach and tired to hook it up, but its acting funny. I think the problem is the "green wire" that is supposed to connect to the negitave side of the ignition coil. Either the directions are wrong, or I am wrong in what I think the negitave side of the ignition coil is, or there is a better specific spot to hook it up to. Any advice would be appreasiated because it would be nice to have a tachometer.

    If your profile is right, your 85 should have HEI and that is where your green wire goes. There is an extra lead next to the coil feed from below, looking at the engine from the front it's on your right. It reads tach on it.
