Taigate mounting brackets rusted off anyone ever had that problem

    If you have had this problem and know a easy fix to it please let me know how to fix it where i can get the parts and i do have welder if need be. Thanks

    Are you the one that just bought the $900 Blazer? I repaired my rear sill and hinge mounts with some friggn thick steel plate and screws. Not sure what gauge steel i used but it was a real pain to form and put into place. After i screwed it down, i ran a bead of silicone/liquid nail around it because i dont have a welder.Looked very nice when i finished and held up very well.If you have a welder to use i would go that way though.I'm so glad my Burb has barn doors:)

    My mounts are toast to along with my bed so Im just gonna get the whole nine yards. This is last year I can get the bed for sure so I'm gonna do it. Its about $400 wholesale though but its galvanized so its gonne be tough stuff.

    Two lanes wide, twelve yards long, sixty-five tons of American pride....Canyanero!
