Looking for tailgate support cables to fit my 83. I want the factory stock ones. I ordered some from LMC but they were some junky things from China or something and they were too long. The ones I have are functional but the plastic is torn up and the cable is rusty.

I doubt the tubing could get over the ends and still shrink up enough to be tight. Maybe, I did think about that. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Man, I can't believe it. I guess they really do have everything on E-bay. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I haven't heard back from the other guy yet, so I might bid on these yet.

Wait, looking closer at the picture, those are the LMC ones like I already have. They are not very good because the crimps on the ends are too long and fat to accept the little spring on the tailgate side. Also, they're half an inch or more longer, which causes the gate to hit my non-factory bumper. Anyone wanna buy 'em? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
