Tailgate Fix, general question

    No specific question here, but I'm taking my tailgate apart to fix the opening mechanism, and replace my window crank. I'm assuming it should be pretty straight forward, but was looking for a possible "don't do this" when removing the glass and other stuff.

    Sorry for the ambiuity.

    It's pretty straight foward. Be carefull with the glass. One thing that often happens on this is the side tracks rust out and cause the window not to be held in the correct possition. The regulator then jams. LMC and possibly even the dealer can get you the new tracks. It's a pretty commom problem. I need to replace the ones in my wifes 79 for that very reason.
