Tailgate hinge repair in tech tips

    has anybody done this? thinking about going out and buying a wire feed and giving it a shot since mine's getting pretty bad.

    no, the hinge repair that talked about welding in some 2 inch square tubing between the frame rails and outside of them too. then drilling and tapping the square tubing for the hinges.

    Let me know how it comes out. I may have to do the same thing. Hey I just used a wire feeder for the first time and WOW! My job looked really good! It surprised the heck out of me...
