After removing the dealership decal, now I have a bright square on the tailgate trim. I tried mothers on the entire piece of trim and its still there, any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Chas

Maybe try using Meguires polishing compound on the rest of the gate. If that doesn't work you'll have to go to the rubbing compound which is more abrasive. Be careful not to rub off the paint though.

Right now it's a beater but soon it'll be meaner:-)

Sometimes ultra fine steel wool works realy well for removing rust on chrome and polishing it I dont know about the tail gate chrome though. im not sure if it works
