    Aluminum melts at approx. 1100 degrees. Steel loses it's tensile strength at about 900, and will elongate and sag at around 1200. I would say that the temp might have reached 1300 or 1400 degrees. Pretty hard for any fire to top that without an accelerant (gasoline?) and an enclosed space. As soon as the windows went, there was plenty of space for the fire and heat to escape. 2000 degrees would have melted your wheels from 5 feet away, and incinerated the springs in the seats and the steering wheel...
