While junkyarding today Shawn and myself ran across some electric fans from Ford Taurus's. We found a 3 wire fan which are 2 speed right? 2 wire fans are 1 speed correct?

Will a 1 speed fan cool a K5 in primary cooling? How many CFM does a 1 speed fan pull? How many for a 2 speed? How many amps for a 1 & 2 speed?

I was thinking about using my stock fan for primary cooling and running a 1 speed Taurus fan for additional cooling of the ATF and when going slow. Will they work as a pusher fan? Thanks

    Harley

P.S. I did search around but couldn't find any solid number on the taurus fans. Thanks

Try this . I don't know about running it backwards as a pusher fan. When I was testing mine I wired it backwards and when it ran it made a nasty buzzing sound, so I disconnected it.
