I have the chance to get a 350 out of a 90 chevy truck. It has some work done to it already and I would like to install it into the Willy's. The owner of it is installing a big block in it's place. Whats the going rate for a complete TBI motor ? I know he would cut me a sweet deal but I just wants some pro's and con's of doing this swap.

Is this just a long block or does it include the TBI setup also?

I bought a 90 TBI 350(minus the TBI) with 90K on it for $150 about one year ago... I woudl say for a stock TBI 350 with the TBI set-up, Maybe around $500 or so. What all is done to the engine and how many miles are on it?
If it is pretty fresh and includes the TBI, then i would say anywhere between $800 - $1500?

I know it has a stronger cam in it, and has the hypertech chip installed. I think it has a trottle body spacer too. It is a complete running motor. He averages 14 MPG with it. I'm not sure on the mileage but this guy takes great care of all of his cars.

Based on your last description, I would say about $500-$800..

I'd dive all over it. It's a simple setup. Not sure on going price, but if he's gonna cut you a deal, GET IT!!

I picked up a '90 TBI 350/TH-400/NP-203 for $1200 a few months ago in strong running condition.
