TBI shopping, WHat Do I Need

    ok i found a local salvage yard that has like 12 tbi motors complete, they range in year and so 9on, if i was going to get one for my 76 and 87, what would i need? he said i could have anythign out of the trucks i wanted for 500 bucks each set up, but not sure what all i need to snag

    the whole wiring harness, the intake ,distributor, computer, t-body, sensors , manifolds ,heater lines (if there the metal style),and all assorted vacum stuff for starts /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

    Don't forget fuel pump/tank and all that wiring.

    i was thinking motor wiring harness, and computer

    yep injected trucks (and some of the later carbed trucks)have a return line back to the tank(s)

    after u snag that stuff and the intake manifold be sure to get the heads too.. tbi manifolds don't bolt to carbed heads.. =]

    TBI manifolds will bolt to carb'ed heads with some drilling.

    No way in hell I'd pay $500 for a used TBI setup though. $250 maybe.

    500 is for complete motor still in truck, oil pan to tb carb, had dis and manifolds and everything, i was wondering what i need other then the complete motor, had altenators, fuel pump, its complete, just wanst sure what else i needed
