Does anyone know anything about these? I was told today that this Tc was developed for a car and probably wouldn't hold up to the torque and abuse from a heavy K5. I am propperly geared by the way.

Still hoping the GOV'T will ban the use of loud stereos with RAP music. [IMG]

I don't think it's a bad choice, but it's designed with hot rodders in mind. I think you'd be better with one of PAW's $89.95 Heavy Duty RV Towing converter.

Don't know much about their Torque convertor but their trans suck. Bought a BOP bellhousing based T400 for my Suburban 6 years ago and it was supposed to be all beefed up for RV use and heavy towing behind my 513 caddy. Lasted about 3500 miles and one good trip to Las Vegas pulling my 29' travel trailer. Spent $950 plus shipping for it and the only warrantee they gave was "ship it back and we'll take a look at it". Ended up having it rebuilt for $1000 installed by a local shop in Las Vegas and it was done right. Was still going strong when I sold the truck and never gave me a worry. TCI might be OK to some but for me, NO way.

The problem is I ordered this one from Jegs well over hte 90 day limit to return it. So it looks like Im stuck with this one. If it turns out I need to get a different one does anyone know of anyone that needs this one? Its brand new still in the box.

Is the torque converter made by PAW or one of the companies they carry? Anyone know the part number for the Heavy Duty RV towing converter?

So what's the part number for the 400? Has anyone actually used one of these or are you just sold on the price?

    Chad
