My mom and I bought this teapot from ebay.ca (used) and she wants to give it to one of her friends for her birthday. The only problem is where ever the tea touched, it's stained. What can I use to safely remove the stains?

    Thanks

    try this..

I asked my mother--she says baking soda works..add a bit of water and make a paste, and rub it with a soft cloth..

I think I read Cream of Tartar works good, but I'm not sure about that,so don't quote me..also Efferdent denture cleaner pills..but check with a home remedy type website before using the last two suggestions..baking soda wont hurt anything,I trust my mom's advice..

I assume this is a ceramic tea pot???

Is the teapot made out of silver or ceramic?
You might try some hand cleaner, like the stuff you use to clean the grease off your hands after a day of wrenching. I know it gets out a lot of clothes stains. You can also use some tooth paste and a soft cloth. Or some Comet (make it into a paste a let it sit for a little while).
