teflon gear oil

    I saw that walmart is selling slick50 gear oil,i need to drain and refill mine soon(its an open diff) any ideas on how this might perform?

    Here is my .02 worth skip the Slick 50 and use a Synthetic Gear oil.
    any GOOD Synthetic oil will do more for you and your diffs than Slick 50 ever could.

    Or if the synthetic stuff is too expensive for you, just change it out yearly with regular gear oil. Stay away from teflon-based products.......

    The slick50 is 5.00 a guart,so i dont care about price.I know the teflon is not good in an engine.But with mostly just gears slinging the oil with teflon around it would seem to aid friction,heat aid mpg.
