Temperature Gauge

    i have an 87 k5 and my temperature gauge isnt working and i was was wondering how to change the sending unit for the temperature gauge, or is it the gauge, is there a way to tell, thanks.

    9 times out of 10 it's the sending unit. It's easy to do, drain the water, then remove the sensor, it's the one on the left bank between two cylinder ports. If you ground out the wire on the sending unit and the guage moves, the guage is good, but if it dosen't it's bad. so thats the way you can check it out first. good luck
