    well i switched out my alternator today, but i ran out of time to put the new serpintine belt on. just wondering so i can get it done quick tomorrow, is there an easy way to loosen up the tensioner? any tricks yall know of? any help is appreciated. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

    Some have a 1/2-inch square hole in them so that you can insert a pull handle or ratchet to lever the tensioning pulley out of the way. On others you can slip a 5/8's socket over the bolt head on the tensioner pulley and use that as the lever point. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
