Testing the new Detroit Locker & the 5.13\'s

Made a short trip today to see how the new Detroit Locker in the 60 and new 5.13's work. The DL is very impressive, we went over stuff that previously would have caused tire spin with an open front. The only time the locker is noticable is when you get the wheel cranked close to full lock, otherwise with the hydro assisted steering it wasn't a problem.

The 5.13's and 37's are not as low as expected, and will be just right once we can decide on a set of tires. Yes, in the second shot, we are now violating the law in Texas that says you can't operate a motor vehicle in a Riverbed(of course if that is a river, I am a Chinese brain surgeon).

Now we just need pics and video of that MPFI 383 severely punishing both rear tires. Ain't nothing like a great twin-tire burnout! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I am runnin 5.13 with 39.5 tsl Swampers and a 30 over 454 and it screams at 70 Mph but there is nothing like the pure power and torque from a big block!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
