Does anyone know where I can get the Kickdown seal and bolt which attaches the cable to the Transmission? Mine is the newer style with the S-shaped hook coming out of the transmission and has one bolt holding the cable to the transmission. Is this a standard thread bolt or should I just get this from GM? Is the seal a parts store item or GM?

    Thanks!

    Neil,
The seal should have came with that kickdown cable i sold you. There shouldn't be another type of seal there...at least mine doesn't have one. RTV it just incase.
The bolt is nothing special, if you ask real nice we can pull mine out of my truck tomorrow and measure it..it should be the same unless you have a weird version of this case but i can't see why there would be a change.

I appreciate it. I was looking at a Chilton's manual and it showed the Seal in question. 'Bout to get this show on the road! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

IIRC, when I replaced mine there was only an O-ring on the cable housing, no gasket type seal, but they do tend to leak a little when replaced. A bit of RTV fixed that for me.
