I have been unable to find a transfer case adapter for my TH350-NP205 setup in my 80 /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifso I was thinking about a TH400 in place of the 350.
/forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gifQuestion is, 1-how easy a swap would this be, 2-is the TH400 good for mostly mud slinging but some climbing as well, 3-will I be able to find an adapter for less than an arm and a leg? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I am pretty sure I have the adapter and drive sleeve you are looking for. I would have to dig it up to be sure and I may be able to do it later tonight. Do you only need the adapter or the sleeve also? You are looking for a Th350 to 205 correct?

to swap in a t-400 u will need a t-400 version 205 w/ the correct adapter. there are 2 styles 1 has a round pattern & the other the normal figure 8. u can convert your t-350 version 205 to a 400 version but it requires the female input shaft & some machine work. cruise over to ORD's site they have all the info & some good pics. sorry i'm to lazy to give u a link.

That's right, TH350-NP205 in an '80 /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif. I am in desperate need of the adapter. I have the sleeve, but would be glad to take it off your hands if you wanted me too.
I actually have the adapter in question, it's just that I tore it in half on the part that drops down to the crossmember. Luckily though, it still holds the case to the tranny and doesn't leak. Just causes major problems in 4WD. (trashes u-joints).
    Thanks for your response!
