Bothered to take a random look at the Wikipedia article on the K5 Blazer and noticed it states pretty clearly that the TH400 was a factory setup in K5 Blazers. If you follow what it says strictly(looking at the years it gives) the 400 was the only option for a few years(this I know is bull****). But was a TH400 available in a K5 outside of the M1009?

I know there is misinformation in this article, so just curious. I already edited the article once. The part where it talks about the introduction year of TBI. It previouslly said 1986, I edited it to 1987.

I would ASSume that if it was available in the military combo, it was available in the civvy blazer as well. Things like a detroit obviously weren't, but I don't think there was anything super special about the drivetrain combos that were put into them aside from everything being 24 volt.

I thought that the trucks equipped with the 400 V8 had a TH400. But I could be wrong..

That's nice, but it didn't come from the factory that way. There wasn't a TH-400/205 combo in '73.

I'd say factory in the M1009's.

I'd also like to say factory in Blazers/Jimmys that came with diesels. But I haven't been around any diesel trucks so I can't confirm that.

Anyone else have factory diesels in Blazers/Jimmys that have a 400 tranny other than the M1009?

sure as hell looked factory to me, or someone did a real good swap
tranny tunnel was not modified, crossmember holes were stock, and the holes in the frame for the 205 isolators looked to be stock as well.

There is a couple other errors there, but I would have to look at it again. Same as LMC truck. Just little things that I noticed.
