Being back on US soil never felt so good. After 3 weeks in the Philippines, I'm glad to be home.

I'll make a detailed story post later with a title that may read "Mountainexplorers trip- family, windy roads, and attempted murder".

I don't feel like writing about it now... so I will later. Right now, I'm going to just sit and enjoy being home.

Well, after spending the last 32 hours travelling from there to here, house to house, I've had it with airline travel and riding in vehicles in other countries. What sucks is it would have been a happy ending had our house not been shot at the night before we left. There's 3 of us still over there that were supposed to be back here right now.

My uncle and my mom's best friend are still over there in the hospital, along with my aunt (not shot but she wouldn't leave her husband); plus my cousin and 5 year old son are also both in the hospital. Long story. I'll have to elaborate later.

Wow, welcome back. I have a friend who was born in the Philipines (but she's been here much longer) and married a caucasian. She won't bring him over there to visit her aunts and uncles, too dangerous she says.

Welcome back. Sounds like a bad ending to a good trip. Hope your family is doing better.
