i would prefer if calling someone names like 'moron' etc was not part of the board. hard to call though if someone was to phrase it 'you would be a moron if...' i think you would have to let it slide, but point blank 'you are a moron' would be where i would edit it. if they cant discuss/argue the merits of an idea without attacking the person personally it turns into morty the mouth who can shout loudest real quick.
i can fully play that game but it is distasteful.
flame suit on.
Try being more friendly. You have come in here with some good information and your welcome but you have managed to get in the middle of some flames. I'm not saying you were the cause. And yes it was wrong for there to be any type of "name calling". Sometimes it's best to have a thick skin.
If you got a problem and feel it has gotten personal, hit the notify button at the bottom of the post and I'll deal with it. That's my job.
The guy you got into it with is held in high regards here. The people here know him and will back him up. He has helped many of us along the way. He Bends over backawards to help people including fabricating some nice stuff. He builds tough truck on a budget and shows how to do it cheap. It didn't make it right that he came off as he did to you but we all have a bad day. If you had been here longer you would have shrugged it off it you had got to know him better. But it's still no excuse for it getting personal. Hang around here for a while and help folks out and you maybe the next person that people look up to as one of the "good builders/ Helpful guy".
Debates of pro's and con's are great. A different point of veiw or relating personal experiance is helpful to folks who are trying to sort through something that you may have alread done. You brought some great information to the table but the way you come off in your posts is easlily mistaken for abrasive. Reread your posts and the wording and make sure that people will not mistakenly take it as harsh. Presentation is everything. Nobody can see your face so your words are your expression. Many times people will read more into stuff than you meant.
Looking forward to seeing some pics of your rig and trail pics. Sounds like you may well have a pretty tough truck.
We dig that here.

Um, 77Chev. I don't know where that replys comeing from. Guessing I musta' missed something. I wasn't makeing this post as a reply to anyother post. I thought it was about time to give the guy an "at-a-boy".

I was just tring to show some appreciation for a job well done, Grimm Reeper has been an excelent moderator. He has been very helpfull and informative, and his judgment has been solid. Way-to go Grimmy

It seems to me like you probably have to replace that flame suit on a regular basis.......You mentioned in a previous post that you used to be a member at a different board. Kinda' makes a guy wonder why you're still not there, eh?

Thanks Guys and Gals. It is appreciated that you think so much of me. I try not to be the "delete police" but some times things do get out of hand. Steve vision for this is a place where you can get good information and help. As such there is little room for flaming each other. I think this is the best board on the web.
YOU FOLKS are what makes it so. Every once in a while people do get hot and Believe me I'm guilty of it some times myself. You want the neked pics and constant flamining of "Newbies" then this is not the place. Try the POR board for that. Good stuff and GREAT build up stuff there but it seems to be a place were New folks are regularly tageted for hazing. It bugs me every time I see somebody thats been there a while beating onsomeone new. YOU folks openly welcome new folks and try to help them. That's what makes this board the best.
YES I have a 9 year old (just got back from my moms celebrating our birthdays). My oldest Bday was Sept26, The Lady's is Oct3, Mine is Oct8 and my mom is Oct11th. We just have one BIG Birthday party LOL. I also have 8month old.
Thanks!

I don't need no damn shop manual, I got a pornographic memory.
