A big thanks to these guys....
I blew up my TH-400 in my camaro and needed another tranny for parts to rebuild.
Today Iceman44 drove from Sac to SanJose to visit some friends and dropped off a TH400 tranny to me. Thanks again man!
And thanks to MJF also... this was originally his tranny. He lives about 2 miles away from me, and had this th400 to get rid of, and iceman jumped on that offer. I ended up needing it a week or two later and iceman was nice enough to give me whatever i needed outta that tranny.

I got the clutch packs all rebuilt and its pretty much all ready to go back together, i just want to hot tank or clean the transmission case first. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Thanks again guys!

Iceman- I'll have the rest of the tranny parts and some beer for ya next time i see you. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif MJF beer for you too if yer on the next run.

You're welcome man, It was free and all I did was drive TWICE to San jose /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
You need what I don't need.
Sharing is the good thing here, the biggest guy here is MJF.
He not only gave me this tranny but a good used 35" tire and he gave a whole truck minus engine and tranny/tcase to another guy.
Anyone else would have tried to sell, even for a couple of hundreds. He just figured, he got what he needed and it was worth what he paid so he passed the rest along to someone that would need it.

Looking forward to wheeling with you man.

Just when I was starting to lose faith in people, you guys go & start saying nice things. I would rather give a part to someone that can get some use out of it than have it sitting in my garage.
Although lately I have been getting a little discouraged bceause people say they want a certain part but the never come to get it. I know as soon as I throw it away, someone wil show up to pick it up & I'll feel like a dirtbag.

I am planning to go to Frank Raines in Feb, but there are alot of things I nned to get done to the k5 before I can say for sure.

No he never came. I would offer it up to someone else, but I robbed a few more parts for my blazer. I would love for someone to come get it, but now I think it's missing too many parts to be much use.

Does it still have the axles?
I would take it if it does.

It was a 76 3/4 ton LWB truck. Now it has the 1/2 ton axles from my blazer under it. I've taken on some lost causes before & even I wouldn't take this truck if I was looking for one to build.

It's got a few good parts on it, but I can't start to part it out. It's easier to haul it away whole than in pieces.

I know I saw them, they even have the same ratio that I have on my blazer.
If they are still there I would haul it out just let me know so I can plan another trip. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
