I was looking at the webpage in progress to try and get an idea how built the vehicles in the club were, but that page isn't up yet. I would like to go the runs once my truck is up here next school year...trying to get an idea what an acceptable tire size would be, one locker enough or two, axles, etc.

    Thanks.

Most of the club runs 35" and bigger. one locker would be good but 2 is always better. and make sure you have rock protection. look forward to meeting you and doing some wheelin

It doesn't matter how built your truck is to be able kick it! It took me 2.5 years to get my truck where it is now, we can't expect new members to be built right away. One of the main purposes of a club is to help each other with the build up, its half the fun. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif A stock K5 or whatever can pretty much participate on most of our trail runs, Hollister and Frank Raines come to mind.

Jeff is right though, about 35/36" tire 4" lift and some kind of traction device.

Just be warned that after a run with the big dogs you're going to be itching to bust out the credit card and get some 42s and 1 ton axles loaded with lockers. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I wheeled with my stock blazer for 6 years with 31 inch tires, then I stepped up to 33"/2.5" lift, for a year did most of the rubicon from the top side, then last year I put lockers on both ends and 35" tires, and cut out the fenders, and after going through the rougher sections, I added a few cavities in the body /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Yeah! I second that! Maybe if you would get off the damn computer and wrench a little more you'd be making more progress, eh? /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Got's to have the $$$$$$$ to do it. The Federal Credit Union of Bubba Ray has cut me off for awhile due to a couple of "purchases" from E-Bay. Not to mention I have to weather cooperation due to no garage. About all I'm probably gonna be able to get done before Raines is the 35's and the fender trimming, and maybe some tube work if I get the ram soon enough.
