Is what I get to do every day at 0700 and 1500. Me and a good friend of mine, Taylor, are part of the flag detail. I am lucky enough to be the one person in the detail that carries, folds, and secures the flag.

Stuff like this is what really energizes me about the military. When I'm outside, holding the flag; Taylor is on the rope, waiting for "To the Colors" to sound to run the flag up the pole. There is no rain, cold, or wind that I feel.

Who needs coffee to get them going in the morning... just raise a flag!

My props go to you! I raise something in the morning, but it is most certainly not a flag!

Have you had the "pleasure" of hoisting a holiday flag in a 20mph breeze? High pucker factor keeping it from kissing the ground.
