i was at Hebert Candy Mansion on thursday and ran into this guy Rich who has set up a 4wd truck show. the show is going to be at the candy mansion on rt. 20 in shrewsbury from 9am - 4pm. the event is open to all 4wd trucks and is going to have events. some of the events are winch pull contest, 4wd part swap, rc rock crawler challenge, RTI ramp, and 4wd clubs / vendors. i thought it would be cool to have a crew of ck5 trucks there so it wouldn't be all p.o.s. jeeps. i know a trail that that is less than 5mins away from this show that i will be hitting before i show up, and maybe after. if any one else wants to go let me know. some pics of the trail and my truck after.

    Sweet!! :saweet:

I definately want to go. Plus my truck will have all the body work definately done by that time. It will be "show" ready.

Dave: how does that trail compare to the Belingham one?

Also I will definately need a CK5 sticker in my window. When will the Off Camber store be working again?

the one in the pic is all rock / mud. there are no deep water holes like bellingham but when it rains like it has all the mud washes down the hill and makes a mud pit that you need to go though at about 4000 rpm. there's two others on the way that have some ruts in a field that fill with water when it rains (good for stock trucks). i am going to check out another one that has a rep. for getting people stuck. i am going to have my engine done for the show too.

I don't know if there is an admission fee. If there is it's minimal ($5 - $10 maybe) All proceeds to this are being split between the North East Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs and other local charities.

Guys, that trail that you're talking about riding, are you sure it's legal or do you have written permission to be there? I'm not trying to be an ass, it's just that some of us work very hard to fight for motorized access in southern New England, and don't want to see it get spoiled for everyone.

its $5 to get into the show. there are no "legal" trails in my area, but i dont go where people complain. i know 2 trails where i have verbal permision and the other one has no signs saying keep out. i dont go where i know that i will get in trouble. so i am not one of those "asses," i know the ones you are talking about.

ya in Bellingham there are no signs either. But I did just learn that it is illegal to ride any type of dirt bike of ATV in Bellingham. I think thats funny because I see people back there all the time on dirt bikes.

Yup Exactly where we were. The dirt bikes mostly stick to the sandy area though.

$5.00 is more than fair for admission. I hope to make it and finally meet a few CK5 members. I'm not aware of many other "active" members here in Maine, but if there are speak up!

ok, with October 15th coming soon, and me now having the day off....i need help deciding where to go....i`m in search of a new front bumper, something like the DIY4x starter bumper, and a window out of a pick up...where will i most likely have luck finding these things....at the truck show, or stafford springs? i`m gonna hold off on ordering it for now so i can look local, i will also be checking amherst this sunday as well....so what do ya think?
