The day after my birthday, 20 short days ago, TSGB posted about a drill press. In less than three weeks, some fine members here were able to orchestrate the transport from central Washington, to my house, in San Francisco. I think it's amazing and I cannot thank all who were involved enough. It certainly needs some love, and I think I'm just the guy to give it what it needs.;) Like I said, it's amazing that in lees than three weeks, this old chun of iron is sitting in my garage. There is no way that I would have imagined things coming together so fast. I did very little of the work, those who helped organized just about everything between themselves, all I had to do is get with BigEasy and figure out where to meet up with him. My leg of the journey was the shortest as well, I think; just over 100 miles. Anyhow, thank you so much to everyone who helped, and especially to TSGB for giving it to me, he even refused money I offered for it. So super thanks to TSGB, UseYourBlinker, Chevyfumes, W7NB, and BigEasy. I have never met any of these folks in person ('cept BigEasy today) and they all came through for me. Simply awesome! It was about 9:45 tonight when I finally got it into the garage, and even though I gotta work tomorrow, and I'm beat, I couln't resist fokkin' with it just a little. It got a healthy dose of penetrating oil on all the parts that look like they're s'posed to move, and WD40 everywhere else it was wet from pouring rain on the way home. And I took a quick look at a bit of the electrical. I cannot begin to tell you all how stoked I am......

You know, maybe if we duct tape Batman to a drill press, he'll get somewhere.

that is awsome, goes to show the few who think there 25 buys them into the brotherhood, that it takes alittle more.

It is ... odd, sometimes. I call the Underground Railroad of Chevy Parts ... my wife was confused as heck the first time.

I'm the middle point in CA bewteen Sacto, it seems, and points south... just had a load dropped off here, including parts I don't even know who they're going to. They go from one person to another to another and eventually end up home. (Still wanna see how Greg72 is gonna get that big block from the west coast to the east, though, unless it qualifies as carryon for the airlines =))

Over the weekend, looks like I'll get three or four calls, and people will come and get their stuff... presumably they paid the original owner, 'cuz all I know is I'm storing a pile of parts =))
