WoW. That the first I have seen anybody pull that one off. It's been talked about but as far as I know it's never been done.

Oooh. Very slick. I wanna do this to my Burb, not with a pickup bed but just slicing the roof off, to fit my spare Chalet insert onto /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There have been a coupla these done -- saw one on Ebay a few months back, but it was kinda weirdly done, which I suspect is why it was sold /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: The \"Burban Like\" vehicle with K5 top

I know the manufacturer is taboo here, but /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif Ford offered for years a dealer option that ended up being a centurion conversion of their Full-Size Bronco. I checked it out at a dealer once back in the early '90's, it was a $7000 conversion if I remember right. It was a technically crew cab pickup cab grafted to a Bronco back end to create the equivalent of a Ford "Suburban". While not technically a Bronco, the Bronco community has adopted the Centurion as one of its own. The vehicle came in half ton and one ton configurations. The C-150 is built on an F-150 SuperCab chassis and the C-350 is built on a stretched F-350 regular cab chassis. They then ordered from Ford a Bronco fiberglass top and quarter panels and rear roof header and some extra seats and other trim items They also added things like a rear heater (Taken from GM parts I remember the guy saying) and some other "extras". So you ended up with the removable top, 8passenger seating, and one hell of a unique vehicle.

Now what would really be kool is a full-removable top (like a '69-75 blazer/jimmy--all the way up to the windshield)so all 8 passengers can soak up the sun! Mabey a bit heavy to take on and off....

Looks good. There are a couple of the Fords that 73 was talking about running aroud here and just as a Blazer looks better than a Bronco, I'm sure your creation will look better than the Ford.

That really rocks! I've wanted to do something similar, by bobbing the rear and incorporating a removable roof - yours came out rather inspiring!

if someone got creative with front half off an extra 73-75 top along with a full top then maybe a full top version burb could be made hehe
