    Cool, we're back online!! [IMG]

Any of yall ever heard of the "Dominator" 700r4? I know there is a lot of talk of the Raptor and that really seems to be a good tranny, but I think it's pretty damn pricey. At $1645 for the cost, plus $140 for the short output shaft that they will need to put in for me (so I can hook up the 203 to it), and then shipping.....wayyy too much.
    I found the Dominator site:
700r4.com BowtieOverdrives as well. theirs is a good price too. And for those of yall who will tell me to go with the 400 or SM465; Save it. I want to keep OD, but trying to find the beefiest R4 at the best price out there. Thanks! [IMG]

I would find out more on their warrenty and see what it covers. It is alot cheaper then a Raptor. Also make sure you can get a truck K case since they are supposed to be stronger then a car case. Something I forgot to ask you over the weekend is are you planning to swith gears? Since you have 4:56's and are going to 39.5's how often will you ever use OD?

No, no plans on switching out gears.
I have those 35"ers for the street remember? :)
I'll be towing the 39.5"s to the trails now. That way, they should last a good bit.

Hmmm.... Interesting, but I really wonder about it. 1500 hp for under a G. The mods on paper sound decent, but I would ask them for some contacts... maening who have they sold this tranny to? Racers? Offroaders? exactly who? I personally like a real world opinion of something rather then a mag write up and such. But definetly worth looking into. Keep us updated on what they say.

I think Mikey has a great suggestion. Ask for references so to speak. Get some real world opinions from people using it the way you will be using it. And be sure to keep us posted.

Well, I'll have to recommend TCI. But I have heard some hear-say negative about them around here. But $1200 with all the beef stuff, thats cheaper than what I would have gotten it rebuilt to stock specs here in town.
