    Looks like a lot of work for a 305 /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif At least thats a set of 305 heads on there...


    Seriously though... Who made the headers?

    hehe its a 408 er 407 (400 bored .040 over) the headers are hooker headers

    I like to hook up mufflers even if its only temporarily when i break in a motor. Makes it easier to hear if anything weird happens.

    It looks like the block is un-painted. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

    That cast iron will rust pretty quick. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

    hmm good observation...well the front clip is off the truck so i'll paint it once i get it bolted in.

    That's awfully hack. I'd paint it now, before the rust sets in and the oil leaks start. Waiting a few days won't help matters any, paint it while it's on the stand.

    It usually tacks up in about 30 minutes. Do the many thin layers vs one thick layer thing. It takes much longer for runs to dry out.

    k im gonna drop it in and break it in, then paint it, then put on the front clip
