The lifter is guilty

    It turns out the lifter wasnt working AND the intake manifold gasket was trashed which caused an internal vacuum leak. The truck would miss at idle but run correctly at higher revs. It was sucking oil too. Being taken care of right now!!

    Cool, a collapsed lifter and intake gasket is ALOT cheaper, then a whole valvetrain. So now you can get the tires!!!

    Thats what I'm talking about! I went to price some today, looking at either BFG or Pathfinders again (this'll be my 3rd set). The whole manifold thing will sett me back about 200 bills, I can deal with that. Its just too hot to work to work on this thing right now.
