I'm convinced the light in the refrigerator doesnt turn off when I close the door... it has lead to a higher powerbill.... and the dryer light... I'll bet it doesnt turn off either does it.... /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

    you have a dryer light?

The light in the fridge does turn off. If you close the door until it's just ALMOST closed you'll see it shut off. Don't wanna dispell your conclusions but jeez...LOL

    Elec bills high huh? /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I'm with laketex on this one. Actually mine never goes on. It went out and I'm to lazy to replace it. Of course, it might be a conspiracy and it actually turns back on when you close the door completely.....

BTW, what is a dryer light?

Actually light bulbs absorb dark. Havent you ever noticed when they are used up they are dark on the inside. They can only hold so much /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The light in the dryer only comes on when it's running. you have to get inside and have someone turn it on to experience it...

Actually the dark in a light bulb comes from the smoke that is released when one of the internal mirrors gets broken. This allows all the smoke contained within the wires (that makes your electronics work) to escape into the light bulb. We all know that electronics are run with smoke and mirrors right?!?! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Here is one way to tell if your refrigerator light goes out when you shut the door.
First unscrew the light bulb and place it in a safe place. Next screw one of those outlets that you can get at the hardware store into where the lightbuld went. Then go look for an appliance that you don't use much. Let's say your wife's iron. Now here's the tricky part. Cut the power cord off the appliance and attatch two alligator clips to the ends. Plug the appliance cord into the screw in outlet and run the other end (with the alligator clips) out the door and close it. Now attatch the alligator clips to your ears. If your eyeballs light up then your light does NOT go out when you shut the door. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif
