In their newspapers, the Midwest region states consist of:

    North Dakota
    South Dakota
    Nebraska
    Kansas
    Minnesota
    Iowa
    Missouri
    Wisconsin
    Illinois
    Michigan
    Indiana
    Ohio

Guess if USA Today is a world famous newspaper, they know what regions are what. /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

At the same time drive thru Nebraska and all the radio stations call them self part of the "Plain States" even the Oklahoma AM stations.

I think the real midwest starts about in the middle of Nebraska and Kansas, right about the point you get a few hills back... So you are 1/2 plains/flat ground, and half midwest /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Course you can't wheel there unless you want to get arrested.

Other end of the state from where your at.

I used to live in Kearney (7 1/2 years), so I've adopted Nebraska as my unofficial home. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

No, I used to live in IL, too and I actually think Kansas is flatter. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
It was definatlly more boring than IL was.

Nebraska really isn't flat except right along I-80 and the Platte River. Other than that it's really quite hilly.
Rolling hills of sand grass corn and cows. . . now that I think about Nebraska was kinda boring too cept for the girls! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
